Muscle Pussy

Doth Protest Too Much

22-year-old Liam Payne (Of One Direction Fame) flashes the flesh in his latest Instagram post, revealing in the caption that he’s already shifted any extra festive pounds.
Like others, I can't help but think the pic looks like he's posing for Grindr.. then again, he might get mad with this comparison because he's like...you know...sick of all the gay rumors.

You So Crazy...

Republican presidential candidate Rick Santorum on Sunday said that if elected he would not recognize the marriages of gay and lesbian couples.
Santorum, a vocal opponent of marriage equality, made his remarks during an interview with the Catholic news network EWTN.

Matthew Franck of the Witherspoon Institute asked Santorum how his administration would treat the Supreme Court's June ruling which declared that gay couples have a constitutional right to marry.
Santorum responded that as president he could not reverse the high court's Obergefell decision because it affected state laws. He added that he “would confront the court” on its 2013 ruling which struck down a key provision of the Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA). He called DOMA a “good” and “valid” law that he would enforce.
DOMA prohibited federal agencies from recognizing the legal marriages of gay couples.
Writing at Right Wing Watch, Miranda Blue noted that Santorum had previously criticized President Barack Obama for refusing to defend the law in court, calling it unconstitutional. At the time, Santorum called Obama's move a “power grab” and declared that the decision rested not with the president but with the Supreme Court.

Thankfully, he'll never be President; besides, as President he'll have to take an oath to uphold the constitution of the United States, so yes little bigot, you would have to uphold the constitutional right of gay citizens...unlike the Bible, you don't get to pick and choose what parts you want to follow and what parts you choose to ignore.

Eat More Ass Tuesday

If it Quacks Like A Duck...

The Herald Dispatch have printed an article reporting that West Virginia prosecutors are asking the state Supreme Court if they can charge former Marshall University running back with a hate crime:
"Cabell County wants the court to decide whether state code embodies a protection of an individual’s civil rights if the volatile act is based solely upon said person’s sexual orientation.
The statute itself states, “All persons within the boundaries of the state of West Virginia have the right to be free from any violence, or intimidation by threat of violence, committed against their persons or property because of their race, color, religion, ancestry, national origin, political affiliation or sex.”
Prosecutors allege the violation is for the victim’s sex, not sexual orientation, claiming Butler would not have punched the two men had they been women, or one had been a woman.

Circuit Court Judge Paul T. Farrell wants the Supreme Court to answer whether sexual orientation is encompassed under sex."

It's an iffy call, but who knows, maybe for once, justice will be served... but I wouldn't hold my breath, then again, my home state has surprised me before.

Let Them Eat Cake

The Oregon bakery owners found guilty of discriminating against a lesbian couple have paid $135,000 in state-ordered damages.
Aaron and Melissa Klein, owners of Sweet Cakes by Melissa, were found guilty of unlawfully discriminating against the couple when they refused to make a cake for the women's commitment ceremony.

For nearly six months the couple refused to pay the damages.
Aaron Klein paid $136,927.07 on Monday, which includes accrued interest. He also paid $7,000 earlier this month.
Aaron Klein declined to make the cake for the women on January 17, 2013. Klein said he does not hate gays but that making a cake for a same-sex wedding would violate his faith. (At the time, Oregon had the nation's most robust domestic partnership law. Following a federal judge's ruling in May, 2014, Oregon became the 18th state to allow gay and lesbian couples to marry.)
In refusing to pay the debt, the Kleins had claimed financial hardship. But critics pint out that supporters of the couple have raised at least $515,000 in 3 crowdfunding accounts to help them with expenses.
State officials said that they were looking to establish property or asset liens to collect the money.

Damn, even after the fine, bigotry pays off big time.

Gimme Fur

We Have Seen The Enemy And It Is Us

A Brazilian filmaker posted this video to his Facebook page showing what happened when he and a friend were doing a shoot for Youtube:

" A racist white lady mistakes two Brazilians for Terrorists. I was filming a sketch for youtube in front of a local airport, when a racist woman stopped her vehicle on the side of the road and started calling my friend and I terrorists. Being that I’m an inspiring filmmaker, I pulled out my camera and started recording the incident. I honestly never thought this would happen to me. It’s disgusting how ignorant and blind people are nowadays, because their constantly being fed propaganda and false information to keep us divided. People like her need to be shunned out of society, because that’s the mentality that keeps us from progressing. SHARE this, we need this negativity shunned!"

Tho the two laughed this off, I find it rather disturbing that this is the real influence Fox news, Donald Trump, Ted Cruz and a horde of other sleaze balls, have had on their constituents and listeners.
There is truly a deep disturbing ugliness rearing it's monstrous head in the rural American public.

I Wonder What Eurovision Would Be Like Without Gay People...

A contestant on Israel’s singing competition series ‘The Next Star’ has received criticism for performing an original song that mocked gay men with lyrics about a man who ‘craves butts’ and ‘drops the soap’.
Some 200 complaints about the song were reportedly sent over the weekend following Maor Gamliel performance of ‘Leave the closet’ on Friday to the Keshet production company, which produced the series for Channel 2, according to the Times of Israel quoting the Haaretz newspaper.
The Times reported that gay rights group National LGBT Task Force had called on LGBT rights supporters to send letters to the production company to protest the song.
Show officials say the song, which was written and performed by Gamliel, was meant to be humorous.
The lyrics go, ‘Moshiko [a diminutive Hebrew form of the name Moshe], is interested in boys, Moshiko, craves butts, Moshiko, always in the showers, ignoring the girls, dropping his underwear, dropping the soap, should be in the theater, come on already, leave the closet, Moshiko.’
According to the Times, the judges and audience laughed during the performance, and the show’s openly gay host Asi Azar has urged critics to take it with good humor.

The Second Authority for Television and Radio, the public regulator of Channel 2, is said to be examining whether the song’s lyrics have violated Keshet’s tender obligations.

The video for this song is even more offensive, showing "Moshiko" wearing pink shorts and shoes, while the singer sings the song in a field full of fruit trees.
At one point while dancing side by side, Moshiko hugs the singer, only to be shoved away and the singer walking away from him in that "Hey I'm str8 bro, no homo" way.
This is the second song submitted (that I know of) that either mocks the gay community or outright condemns it (the now withdrawn German entry)
If this is what one can expect from Eurovision this year, I think I'll pass.
