'Immediate And Severe' Action Taken Against Lawyer Who Called AIDS The 'Gay Plague'

The Virginia-based law firm Becker & Poliakoff has taken “immediate and severe” action against a lawyer who called AIDS the “gay plague.”

In an email sent to the firm's 170 employees, Walter “Wally” Kubitz, a senior attorney at the intellectual property firm, ranted against U.S. District Judge Robert L. Hinkle's decision striking down Florida's ban on gay marriage.
Above the Law published Kubitz's entire screed, titled New Decision: Same Sex Marriage (Brenner v. Scott).
“Judge Hinkle says that the Florida ban on same-sex marriage violates the 14th Amendment Due Process and Equal Protection clauses. However, there is not a shred of historical evidence that either of those clauses was ever intended to legitimize homosexuality,” Kubitz wrote in his email.
“Judge Hinkle and others like-minded have effectively amended the Constitution by judicial fiat. This is a blatant usurpation of power reserved to the States and to the people in violation of the 10th Amendment. The better handling of the issue is as exemplified by Baker v. Nelson, 409 U.S. 810 (1972), in which the U.S. Supreme Court refused to overturn a Minnesota ban on same-sex marriage 'for want of a substantial federal question.'”
“Adding insult to injury, Judge Hinkle invokes our founding fathers as though they would have approved of his ruling. Not so. In his 1796 farewell address then-president George Washington spoke of morality as being indispensable to our societal well-being.”
“Today’s reckless trashing of morality has been damaging on many fronts. For one, there has been a significant increase in sexually transmitted disease over the past few decades, with the gay plague of AIDS being a classic example.”
Kubitz went on to cite Bible passages to suggest being gay is a sin.
“We would do well to heed the Proverbs 11:21 warning of our ultimate Judge: 'Though hand join in hand, the wicked shall not be unpunished.' In other words, popularity does not trump peril.”
“Homosexuality, clearly condemned throughout Scripture, is especially perilous in that it tends toward the 'reprobate mind' as spoken of in Romans 1:18-32 that makes its participants all the more hardened in their ways. The message to the homosexual, as to all, is 'Seek ye the LORD while he may be found.'”
The Daily Business Review reported that the firm took “immediate and severe” action against Kubitz.

More joyous, all encompassing love from a Christian terrorist.
He should heed his own advice and seek the lord.
The passage he brings up, is about how God punished heterosexual men and women, who were having ritualistic sex in a temple and God decided to punish them by compelling them to have sex with same sex partners (something heterosexuals would find repugnant) but as one Jewish friend pointed out to me, that this was a heterosexual punishment, if they had been homosexual, God would have punished them by making them have only heterosexual sex.
As for the founding fathers,  Friedrich Wilhelm von Steuben is credited with being one of the fathers of the Continental Army in teaching them the essentials of military drills, tactics, and disciplines.  He wrote "Regulations for the Order and Discipline of the Troops of the United States", the book that served as the standard United States drill manual until the War of 1812. He served as General George Washington's chief of staff in the final years of the war, and he was, with out a doubt, a homosexual, and was one of the first honored with a lifelong military pension and property for his loyal service to the United States.
One further observation, this man was a Senior attorney for this law firm, he didn't get that far in the firm without his colleagues knowing and accepting (or agreeing with) his views, this man was just stupid and arrogant enough to get caught expressing them..."Committed to diversity" my ass!

Stuart Hatton Jr, Mr. Gay World 2014

The search for Mr Gay World came to an end last night when one lucky man was chosen for the award. Stuart Hatton Jr, from the UK, took the title at the ceremony in Rome, Italy. Hatton Jr, from South Shields, wrote a jubilant status on Facebook after his win. ‘I WON MR GAY WORLD!!!’ he wrote. ‘I am still in a complete daze about it and overwhelmed. But this is just the BEGINNING. Now it's time to show the world what we as a global gay community are made of. ‘This is a joint win that i share with all my fellow delegates from around the world. Together, as a family we will fight to bring equal rights to the entire world. ‘Alone we are only one voice but together we will ROAR! STAY PROUD.’
Second place was awarded to Cypriot Kiriakos Spanos, and third went to Irishman Robert Lowlor. The competition describes itself as ‘searching for a global gay man as an ambassador for LGBTs.’ ‘MGW is more than a beauty contest, it is the toughest job interview in the world!
Mr Gay World celebrates the pride and rights of the International Gay Male. ‘MGW’s visionary pillars are friendship, diversity and respect! The man selected will be a role model and ambassador for young gay men of the world.’
Categories in the competition include swimsuit, club wear, formal wear and national costume. Hatton Jr also received some amazing support from his hometown when he was in the running for Mr Gay Europe. A roadside sign flashed a message of support for him along a busy highway urging people to vote for him.

Anti-gay conference begins despite protests in Melbourne Australia

The World Congress of Families conference began today inside Melbourne’s right-wing Catch the Fire church, after it stepped in to host the event at the last minute.
The WCF is known for its extreme anti-gay and anti-abortion viewpoints, and to giving platform to extreme homophobic speakers.
Outside, crowds of over 100 protesters attempted to block the path of the homophobic speakers, with two protesters arrested.
Successful lobbying from campaigners got four successive venues to refuse to hold the conference, before the church stepped in.
Key politicians including social services minister Kevin Andrews and Victoria’s attorney general Robert Clark have already pulled out of the event.
Pastor Daniel Nalliah defended his decision to allow the group to hold the conference in his church, saying: “I was in a court case for five years fighting for freedom of speech, and I think free speech should be for everyone.
“So the protesters have a right to be here, but venues shouldn't have to cancel just because of their nonsense.
“I’m not going to put up with that, and that’s why I decided to hold it here.”
Organizer Margaret Butts admitted to the Guardian Australia yesterday: “It’s a mess.
“We have no venue at the moment – the police are telling us it’s a safety risk because of planned protests and demonstrations.
“We are frantic at the moment trying to organize something else, we've had four venue cancellations. I can’t talk to you because we are just too busy right now.”
The group intended to hold a conference in Moscow earlier this year, but cancelled it over Russia’s ongoing tensions with Ukraine.

I disagree with your intent Pastor Nalliah, these people spout their anti-woman, gay hate 365 days out of the year, no one stops them from speaking their message of hate and intolerance, it's heard loudly across the globe, and you just embraced that hatred and made it your own and made your congregation just as culpable.
Let's hope you find actions have consequences; yes you have the freedom to speak, as do they, but you will never have freedom from consequence of said speech.
Enjoy!

NOM Still Thinks It Can Win, Or At Least Dupe People Out Of More Money

From Pink News:
The group’s co-founder Maggie Gallagher earlier this year claimed marriage equality would be in 50 states within 18 months “whether we like it or not”, while former NOM staffer Jennifer Roback Morse claimed last week that same-sex marriage would be law by 2015.
However, despite its former activists essentially admitting defeat on the issue, the anti-gay group is arguing that there is still a chance it can stop same-sex marriage in the court system.
An email from NOM President Brian Brown said: “[In a few months] NOM will be leading the charge to make a national statement that will be heard around the country and the world as the United States Supreme Court likely hears arguments in a case that could well become the Roe v Wade of marriage.
“But here’s the thing about that potential case: this time around, we have a very good chance to WIN!
“Redefining marriage to include homosexual couples isn't simply adding a parallel institution that won’t alter or interact with marriage — it fundamentally changes marriage and makes it an inherently genderless institution.
“And that genderless institution is what will be pushed in government policy; in schools; indeed, through all mechanisms of government.
“Legal precedence is on our side. Reason is on our side. History is on our side. And the vast majority of citizens in America and across the world are on our side.”

Despite the group’s claim that it will be involved in the fight against marriage equality, it has no representation in the cases likely heading to the Supreme Court.

They still refuse to grasp the fact, the US constitution was crafted to stop the majority from either limiting a minorities rights or forcing them to obey oppressive laws (both religiously oriented or secular) divisively created and aimed directly at them.
One other thought, how exactly do they equate, two males, two females or any combination there in, be considered *genderless*?
