Penn Jillette on marriage

Illusionist Penn Jillette has said if the government recognizes straight marriage, then gay marriage must be recognized as well. Appearing on CNN's Piers Morgan Tonight, the 57-year-old Jillette, also a best-selling author, told host Piers Morgan that he approved of Obama's endorsement of gay marriage. “Once you've had straight marriage, you have to have gay marriage,” said Jillette. “And the slippery slope they talk about. Like, oh, what if they want to do polygamy and they want to do this. I think that's all terrific. I'm all in favor of the slippery slope. I think love is a good thing and commitment is a good thing. People should be able to make any sort of life commitment to anybody they want.” He added that he did not believe marriage was the government's business. “It just seems a little creepy to tell the government who you are having sex with,” he said.
