San Francisco Archbishop Salvatore
Cordileone has called for an amendment to the U.S. Constitution
prohibiting gay and lesbian couples from marrying.
“An amendment to the U.S.
Constitution is the only remedy in law against judicial activism,”
Cordileone
told bishops meeting in New Orleans at the U.S. Conference of
Catholic Bishops' (USCCB) summer meeting.
Cordileone, who heads the USCCB's
Subcommittee for the Promotion and Defense of Marriage, is expected
to speak at next week's second annual March for Marriage. Thursday's
rally and march to the steps of the U.S. Supreme Court is being
organized by groups opposed to marriage equality, including the
National Organization for Marriage (NOM) and the Family Research
Council (FRC).
More than 80 prominent California
leaders have called on Cordileone to skip the event. An additional
22,000 people, as of Thursday, have signed a Faithful America
petition calling on Cordileone to not “speak at hateful anti-gay
rally.”
You can pretty much count that as Cordileone's response to those 80 plus prominent petitioners.

He can preach about the evils of homosexuality all he likes, but the moment he calls for political action he crosses the line between church and state. The IRS should revoke the tax exempt status of the Archdiocese of San Francisco.
Time to revoke your tax free status. Politics are a no no Shit Bag.
