Mike Huckabee Lies Out His Evil Ass Trying To Convince People He's Softening On Gay Marriage

Former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee says in his new book that opponents of marriage equality have “greatly overstated” the claim that it will destroy society.
Huckabee, who recently left his Fox News hosting duties after six years to consider a White House bid, releases his new book God, Guns, Grits, and Gravy on January 20th.

“The claim that same-sex marriage is destroying society is actually greatly overstated,” Huckabee writes in the book. “Christians who themselves abandoned the primacy of lifelong marriage to follow the divorce and remarriage customs of a secular society have as much to answer for as those who militantly push to redefine marriage.”
Elsewhere he continues: “Marriage as an institution is not so much threatened by same-sex couples as it is by heterosexuals' increasing indifference to it.”
As recently as November, Huckabee claimed that allowing gay couples to marry threatened civilization.
“And the foundation of our society and culture, marriage, not only by which we produce the next generation but it is the entity through which God has chosen for us to create the next generation and train them to be our replacements, and when we tinker with its definition and we decide that it can mean anything we wish for it to mean and that rather than to take a biblical perspective we will take a very human one and we will base marriage on human experience and desire as opposed to biblical standard, then I fear that we will pay the consequences for having upended the very foundation which is the essence of how a civilization survives,” he said after visiting Nazi concentration camps in Poland. “So the soul of America is in real trouble.”
Speaking last year at the National Organization for Marriage's (NOM) March for Marriage, Huckabee warned that marriage equality would bring God's judgment: “There is no doubt in my mind that this country would not exist had it not been for the providential hand of God. And I'm also convinced that if we reject his hand of blessing, we will feel his hand of judgment.”

Wasn't it just 20 years ago that Mike was calling for all homosexuals to be rounded up and put in concentration camps so they couldn't give everyone Aides?
Just goes to show you, these so called *Christian* leaders, will say or do anything to secure their positions of power and influence.
