The signing could happen on Thursday (4 May) to coincide with the National Day of Prayer, according to Politico.
The site reports that two senior administration officials confirmed the plan.
A previous draft had been leaked back in early February but no action was taken at that time following swift outcry.
That draft called for religious freedom ‘when providing social services, education, or healthcare; earning a living, seeking a job, or employing others; receiving government grants or contracts; or otherwise participating in the marketplace, the public square, or interfacing with Federal, State or local governments.’
The draft created exemptions for people and organizations who claim religious or moral objections to same-sex marriage and trans identity as well as premarital sex and abortion.
Human Rights Campaign President Chad Griffin called it a ‘hateful, dangerous order.’ ‘There’s no question about Donald Trump’s motivations,’ Griffin wrote in an email to supporters on Tuesday (2 May).
‘For years, anti-LGBTQ organizations have been trying to legalize discrimination under the guise of religion. And Donald Trump knows full well this executive order isn’t about religion – it’s about establishing a license-to-discriminate.’
GLAAD CEO Sarah Kate Ellis said: ‘If this possible executive order is similar to February’s draft, it would do nothing except give a national license to discriminate, and endanger LGBTQ people and their families. President Trump is trying to create an America where my children could be turned away if a pediatrician doesn’t accept my wife and I. Nothing could be more un-American.’

Actually, if you were turned away by a pediatrician who was pushing the 81 vaccines they now routinely give children starting the first 24 hrs after birth till about 8 yrs old, YOU'd BE LUCKY! When I first heard about the anti-vaccination people I thought they were goofy. Then I looked into it, now I'm a believer. Do the research. You'll find out, for instance, that when the CDC's research showed vaccines caused autism, the head of that supposed protector of the American public forced them to change all the data. Now she's making $4 mil a yr at the largest big pharma maker of vaccines. See the movie "Vaxxed."
And did you know that in 1986, when so many people were suing the vaccine makers for horrible damage to their children, Pres Bush #1 got Congress to pass a law making it illegal to sue the manufacturers! That's the only type of drug you can't sue against! It's no longer a country "of the people, by the people & for the people" It's now "of the corporations, by the corporations, & for the corporations."
And for all you suckers who voted for T-Rump, all the choices for his cabinet are billionaires or near billionaires from these corporations… Democracy in America, R.I.P.
It'll be interesting to see if Ulf lets this be shown. Altho with at most 10 people on here who'll read this, why worry about retaliation for revealing the truth?
