Donald Trump and running mate Mike Pence will appear together this weekend at a ‘summit’ hosted by anti-LGBT hate group the Family Research Council.
The Republican Party’s presidential ticket is participating in the 11th annual Values Voter Summit in Washington DC with a list of speakers who are outspoken homophobic personalities.
They include: Michele Bachmann, the Benham Brothers, Kirk Cameron, James Dobson, Rick Santorum, Todd Starnes, and members of Duck Dynasty.
Trump has claimed he would be better for LGBT voters than opponent Hillary Clinton even as he continues to court the religious far right.
Their appearance on Friday (9 September) will mark the first time a presidential candidate from a major party has participated in person since the event began in 2006. Mitt Romney, the 2012 Republican nominee, participated via pre-recorded message.
This will mark the second consecutive month that he has appeared at an event organized by a well-know anti-LGBTI group. On 12 August Trump spoke at an American Family Association event in Florida on the two-month anniversary of the Pulse nightclub massacre in Orlando.
The day after Trump and Pence take part in the summit, Democratic Vice Presidential nominee Tim Kaine will also be in Washington DC but will be keeping very different company.
Kaine will be speaking at the Human Rights Campaign’s National Dinner. HRC is the largest LGBT advocacy group in the US.

So why does anybody pay attention to this scaggy liar when he says he will be better for the LGBT- community. Or his Hispanics- or his African American over there --in the audience.... He likes to hear himself talk and the weak as water weaker than piss media who get to interview this hypocrite never hold him down or make him account for his changing -within a sound bite- opinions.
