Up until now, I have remained silent on Caitlyn Jenner's coming out, but that changed today, when the Huffington post "Gay Voices" decided to add her as a regular blog contributor.
Why you may ask?
Quite simple, Caitlyn Jenner, despite all she has obviously gone thru as a transgendered person, supports and backs the Republican party, the very people who have most repressed and oppressed anyone different from their perceived view of normalcy.
They have even gone so far as to enshrine their homophobia in their party platform, a party platform Caitlyn herself supports with her continued affiliation and financial contributions.
Yes, I know she tweeted #Lovewins about marriage equality, but even then when asked, she refused to make any positive comments about Barack Obama's involvement in bringing this about.
I also find her supposed support of marriage equality can be called into question from something she said in her interview with Diane Sawyer, where she made this statement while discussing marriage equality:
"Did you cheer the president?" Sawyer asked Jenner.
"I will certainly give him credit for that," Jenner responded. "But not to get political, I've just never been a big fan. I'm kind of more on the conservative side."
"Are you Republican?" Sawyer asked.
"Yeah," he said with a smile. "Is that a bad thing? I believe in the Constitution."
So, the implication is what?
She supports the constitution on what exactly, marriage equality or that she believes the President has overstepped his authority when it comes to gay issues?
She's a self professed conservative Republican, so does this mean she's for the states to individually decide on marriage equality, on gay rights in general..exactly where does Caitlyn Jenner stand on these issues?
The answer, nobody seems to know, but we're supposed to jump on board the Caitlyn pony ride because she's trangendered?
Screw that, she supports a party and platform that dehumanizes and oppresses not only gay people (BTW, Jenner has repeatedly affirmed she is heterosexual) but trans people.
So until I read or hear Caitlyn take a *real* stand against her parties platform, and a firm stand for marriage equality and gay rights in general, she can go fuck herself.

I agree with you totally- politically Jenner is a confused person- how do you support a party who does not support the way you live your life and actively opposes what you say you believe in.. duh -let's be frank --Catilyn is fucked in the head--when she states she's heterosexual I am totally confused--does that mean she likes men sexually now that she's a woman or if she likes women sexually wouldn't that make her a lesbian because she is now identifying as a woman. Heterosexual means you like the opposite sex but when you're in the middle what is the opposite? P.S. also I'm not hatin but frankly without those airbrushed photos on the cover and inside of Vanity Fair all these P.C. liberals would not be saying how beautiful this 65 year old "man in drag" is. WHAT -TOO SOON? I think Klinger on MASH was more honest.
Yeah, I totally agree: her Republicanism is totally warped! Who made crude jokes when she transitioned? Conservative Republicans! There's a sad sense of self loathing in her clinging to a party that believes she is a sick pervert.

I thought you were supposed to undergo the operation to remove the genitals as soon as the psychologists and doctors cleared you so that you could get on with your life as a transgendered person. Or is she playing this out for the reality series and the bucks-which is a typical Kardashian/Trashian thing to do. And yes we are all going along for the stranger than fiction ride--including the ludicrous award for courage. Arthur Ashe is spinning in his grave. Call me old fashioned and I am a very live and let live liberal Gay man but this whole thing strikes me as queer. Where are Seth Myers and Amy Pohler--REALLY!
