Those Who Will Not Learn From History...

Several thousand people showed up Saturday to rally behind three Kentucky clerks who refuse to issue marriage licenses to gay and lesbian couples.
Kim Davis of Rowan County, Kay Schwartz of Whitley County and Casey Davis of Casey County are each defying the Supreme Court's June ruling striking down gay marriage bans in all 50 states. Democratic Governor Steve Beshear has called on the clerks to either issue marriage licenses to all qualified couples or quit.

According to the Lexington Herald-Leader, the First Amendment Rally for County Clerks was held behind the Kentucky Capitol.
All three clerks spoke at the rally.
Kim Davis, who recently was ordered by a federal judge to begin issuing such licenses, told the crowd that she attended the rally to praise God and repeatedly shouted, “He is worthy.”
Casey Davis stood by the Rowan clerk, saying that they were “related through the blood of Jesus Christ.”

Reminds me of another rally a few decades ago, thousands showed up in defiance of this too...
Alabama Gov. George Wallace blocks the entrance of the University of Alabama in 1963 to prevent integration in one of the most dramatic showdowns between the federal government and states in the 20th century. Wallace gave way to the federalized National Guard.
One other thing, perhaps a reminder to these self righteous meat puppets;
  Matthew 6:1
"Be careful not to practice your righteousness in front of others to be seen by them. If you do, you will have no reward from your Father in heaven.
                                                                        Matthew 6:5
"When you pray, don't be like the hypocrites who love to pray publicly on street corners and in the synagogues where everyone can see them. I tell you the truth, that is all the reward they will ever get.

I just found your blog, thanks to the incredible pics you post! So, I'm pleasantly surprised to read & re-post your righteous rants!! I concur completely!! In fact, when I read the word 'reminds', I immediately thot of the George Wallace fiasco as well. I don't recall if he paid for his defiance in any way, but these fools don't deserve to keep their jobs, that's for sure!! & I would think defying SCOTUS is some sort of crime for which they should all pay!!! Thanks for all the stimuli you provide!! 😉
