Rick Perry’s prayer lady says gay acceptance leads to natural disasters

Gov. Rick Perry has affiliated himself with a number of evangelical leaders and groups that oppose gay marriage. The latest, Florida ‘prayer lady’ Pam Olsen, is making headlines for saying growing acceptance of gays by Christians has led God to cast judgment through national disasters.

“We are under judgment,” said Olsen, in a YouTube clip circling left-leaning sites like Mother Jones, Huffington Post and Right Wing Watch. “Do you know how many of the denominations now are suddenly saying, ‘Oh ok we think it’s ok now to have gay marriage, we think it’s ok to have gay preachers, we think it’s ok.’… You know what? God is not one that’s gonna wink at sin. He will come and shake at everything that can be shaken.”

Olsen got tapped for Perry’s Presidency 5 leadership team in Florida for her affiliation with morally and politically conservative Christian groups in the state: Florida Prayer Network, International House of Prayer in Tallahassee, Concerned Women for America in Florida, National Day of Prayer Task Force.

With these affiliations, it’s not really a surprise that she supports a biblical one man-one woman view of marriage. She takes that a step further to say floods, fires and tornadoes are the result of God’s judgment on gay acceptance. White evangelicals and African American Protestants are typically the religious groups most likely to uphold traditional marriage over same-sex unions, citing biblical passages.

This brainless twat reminds me of "church lady" from Saturday night live, with one exception, she ain't funny, just disturbing.
