Marco Rubio at CPAC: Denying Gays the Right to Marry 'Does Not Make Me a Bigot'

From The Towleroad:
One commenter responded more eloquently than I ever could:
"they like to protect life, but they go to war and kill people there...
they like to protect life, but they allow guns to go unregulated....
they like to protect life, but think that healthcare should not be a right for every one...
they like to protect life, at every stage, but let seniors and the disabled perish by a shrinking medicare system...
they like to protect life, but they r okay with the death penalty...
they like to protect life, but rather keep orphans in group homes and foster care instead of letting them be adopted by a loving LGBTQ person or people..."
As for respecting us, that's almost laughable.
I have zero respect for someone who thinks he should be allowed to impose his religious views on me and anyone else for that matter.
It amazes me that assholes like this repeatedly speak about the government getting out of their personal lives but insist it imposes their will on anyone different from them.
Go fuck yourself Mr. Rubio, you are a bigot!

No, but being a bigot does make you oppose gay marriage.

And the institution of marriage is older than any of the 50 states.

How can the state claim the right to "define" it?
