Rick Santorum: I’d Make Being Gay Illegal If I Could

By Brent Peterson:

Hold on tight everyone, you’re in for a shocker: Rick Santorum said something ignorant and foolish referring to the gay community! I know, I’m sorry to have to break it to you in this way, but I thought you should know.

Now that we have the sarcasm out of the way, you can all roll your eyes at this guy still being a fool, still trying to convince everyone that gay is bad, and still not shutting up.

Santorum appeared on the Genesis Communications Network (groan) radio show called Sons of Liberty (groan again) to talk to anti-gay enthusiast Bradlee Dean about… wait for it… sodomy being illegal. Yep.

He went on the show to discuss how he opposed the 2003 Supreme Court ruling that struck down the sodomy law in Texas. Santorum kept it classy by saying that we really shouldn’t have any choice when it comes to sex. Good luck with that, bud.
“I said this is wrong. We can’t do this, we can’t have a constitutional right to consensual sexual activity, no matter what it is.”

Er… okay wait. You’re literally saying that we should not, as a society, have the right to have consensual sex, the sex where both parties agree to the act, with who we choose? Does he understand how stupid that statement is?

I agree that things like statutory rape and whatnot should be illegal, but when it’s two consenting adults who are of age, how dare you try to peddle legislation or alter our constitution to take that right away from us?

But doesn’t that also mean that we, as a society, can’t have a constitutional right to heterosexual sex? Did he stop to think about that for a second? No, I doubt it. Past examples have proven that this man is incapable of rational thought.

Santorum then goes on to preach about God and that our country should be run according to God’s laws and blah blah blah.
