The picture, posted on Monday night, was
retweeted and commented massively by anti-gay rights activists and by
both outraged anti- and pro-same sex marriage activists.
Among the reactions, one user notes “[The
anti-same sex marriage crowd] go from presumed homophobes to proven
racists.” One same-sex marriage opponent tweeted: “You are completely
discrediting the Manif Pour Tous with this horrible image!” Defenders of
the poster said it was supposed to be humoristic and ironic and that
the monster refers to a “monument of American cinema, the devastating
[King Kong]” and the “destruction” the bill will bring to the families.
On Tuesday morning, the owner of the Twitter account where the picture was initially posted deleted it, before explaining: “I confirm that I acted on my own, without racist intention. Sorry if it has hurt. I withdraw the picture but it is a misunderstanding. I used an already existing monster picture.” To make further amends, he then retweeted a message from an official anti-same-sex marriage organisation stating “The only poster for the May 26 demo is this one.”

So, this is the mentality with which these people want their children raised?
I think those children would be better served with two loving parents, than two married opposite sex bigots.
I'm still waiting for these nutjobs to explain exactly how gay marriage will have any effect on their loathsome unions.
If it were up to me, I'd be pushing for legislation making it mandatory for couples to get a license for raising children, since it seems painfully obvious, not all people are qualified to guide young minds into being productive members of society.

"their loathsome unions"
Really? That seems a bit harsh.
I'm as bemused as you are at the spectacle of the French of all people acting like a bunch of puritans. Seems strange in a country where everybody has a little something on the side and even the president shows up at official occasions with his mistress. That and the fact that in France everybody eats pussy. Even the poodles.
Maybe it's the result of more French babies being named Mohammad than Pierre for the last few decades.
But let's not put down heterosexual unions. While we might personally feel revulsion at the prospect of the act, every stud you can name was produced by way of it so it is a GOOD THING.
Silly person, I would have thought it obvious I was talking about bigoted/religious fascist heterosexual couples.
And just so ya know, gay people can make babies too. (even str8 ones)
Ok, maybe it should have been obvious.
Still, if you are a bigot or a religious fascist, fucking might be the only decent thing you ever do.
No argument there.
