We’ve all fantasized about what it’d be like to have superpowers. What if one day, you all of a sudden had them? Would you take it too far? Would you abuse your powers? In this new trailer for a thriller called “Chronicle,” we see that exact thing happen. Differing from “superpower” movies like X-Men or TV shows like Heroes, this story takes a more realistic approach rather than more of a campy Hollywood approach. To put it more clearly, it’s filmed like the Paranormal Activity series.

Set in Seattle, three teenagers stumble upon something that gives them superpowers, so they start to document their experiences on camera. It starts off as all fun & games as the prank and spook random people with their powers. Then, it reaches a whole new level when someone starts obnoxiously tailgating them on the highway and one of the boys decides to send the guy swerving off the road and into a river to get him off their asses. Their friendship is put to the test as they become more in touch with their dark side, now having all of this power. The film stars Michael B. Jordan, Michael Kelly and Alex Russell as the three friends whose lives spin out of control after having each obtained these new powers.
