Pastor says Sodom and Gomorrah was God’s ‘pilot study’ for ‘homosexual society’

 Speaking on his own show, Hagee Hotline, Pastor John Hagee said that the ciblical story of Sodom and Gomorrah was God’s “pilot study”. He went on to say that if the “righteous” accept homosexuality, “judgement will come”, reports Right Wing Watch.
The pastor was responding to the question: “If the government does eventually completely legalise homosexual marriage, would God hold us accountable as Christians? Also, does it make a difference that we are only changing our worldly laws and not His laws?”
He said: “First of all, let me say that Sodom and Gomorrah is God’s pilot study for his response to the homosexual society. The fact is that not everyone in Sodom and Gomorrah was homosexual. When Abraham was bargaining with God for 50 righteous, 40 righteous, 30 righteous, 20 righteous and finally it levelled off for 10.”
“He said, ‘will you save Sodom and Gomorrah for 10 righteous?’ He was saying this would be ten people who opposed homosexuality. They were not found.”
“So it’s not if the government approve it, it’s if the people accept it. And if the righteous accept it, judgement will come.”
In January, John Hagee used his radio show to say anything other than a man marrying a woman is “two disturbed people playing house.”
Republican presidential nominee John McCain was forced to cut ties with Hagee during the 2008 US election.
Last year, Hagee warned that the repeal of the Defence of Marriage Act would lead to polygamy.
John Hagee is a complete nutjob.
My father followed this mans ministry and as an evangelical Christian himself thought this guy was the second coming, that is, until I pointed out some little *known* info about Mr. Hagee.
You see, Mr. Hagee's entire ministry seems, on the surface, to completely support Israel, that is until you actually read Mr. Hagee's thoughts on why he does this...he wants the Jews to invade Iran, thus begin Armageddon here on Earth and *forcing* Jesus to return.
Yup, Mr. Hagee believes he can force Gods hand by manipulating the Jews into a war with Iran.
As for all his bullshit about homosexuality in Sodom and Gomorrah...as a Rabbi pointed out to me years ago,
the sin of Sodom wasn't homosexuality...for those unfamiliar with the story, angels were sent to Abraham's house and a gang of men, given over to a sinful nature, came to his home, having seen the angels enter (the gang thought they were men new to Sodom) and demanded he send them out for them to have sex with, he refused and offered his daughters up to them instead, which he knew would appease them.
It was at this time, the angels interceded and forbid him to do so and the end I'm sure, everyone knows.
The point the Rabbi made, was this, the gang of evil men were intent on having sex and it didn't matter to them with whom they had sex with...so the sin of Sodom, wasn't homosexuality, the sin of Sodom was rape.
Hagee knows all this and is just again, trying to manipulate the weak minded into doing what he wants them to do, just like he thinks he can make God do what he wants.
