Lifesavers Ministries has pulled the billboard and issued this statement:
“We are pulling the billboard and certainly never intended to cause confusion. … Herbert Hoover would have been a far better one to quote when he said, ‘Children are our most valuable resource,’” founder James Anderegg told the Ledger-Enquirer. “We are a children’s organization and had honorable intentions and nothing less.”
One must wonder, exactly what kind of parent would subject their child to this kind of ignorance and mental abuse?
It still boggles my imagination that this country (and everywhere else in the world) requires people to have license to drive, but require absolutely nothing for becoming parents.
