Vladimir Zhirinovsky Clutches His Pearls And Whines Like A Little Bitch: "It's The End Of Europe"
After last night's 2014 song contest in Copenhagen, Russian state television broadcast a debate on her victory, as politicians and celebrities launched a hate-filled attack.
Outspoken ultranationalist MP Zhirinovsky called this year's result "the end of Europe," saying: "There is no limit to our outrage.
"It has turned wild. There are no more men or women in Europe, just it ."
Elsewhere, President Vladimir Putin's vice premier Dmitry Rogozin issued a scathing tweet claiming the Eurovision result "showed supporters of European integration their European future - a bearded girl".
Speaking on BBC's Breakfast today, Moscow Correspondent Steve Rosenberg said of Russia's reaction: "[They didn't take it] well at all."
He then went on to describe "the general mood of great criticism" during the live discussion, which aired shortly after the winner was announced.
The shocking comments come after Russia tried to ban Conchita from performing her song - Rise Like a Phoenix - at the event.
Her selection had already proved controversial, with petitions filed in Russia, Belarus and Armenia to either have her removed, or edited out of the broadcast in their countries.
Drag queen Conchita has also been the subject of jokes on Russian comedy programs, with one person commenting on a video of the singer: "There is information that Conchita is a CIA project that is designed to destroy the moral and spiritual values in Russia."
But Vladimir Putin's anti-gay laws, restricting the spread of information on what was called 'non traditional sexual relations' did not go down well with last night's audience.
Russia's entry, The Tolmachevy Sisters, were greeted by loud boos from those in the venue, with many of the onlookers waving rainbow flags.
The tension then reached boiling point during the results announcements, which saw Russia receive further boos with every point received.
Russia's live television debate did backfire at one point though, when the writer of their own entry defended Conchita in a live link-up with Copenhagen.
He reportedly said: "Perhaps Conchita's victory should make Russians think again about their attitudes to 'non traditional sexual relations'."
But Conchita Wurst has not let the criticism get to her, saying her victory shows that Europe is, in fact, a tolerant and accepting place.
Speaking at a press conference after the event, the Austrian singer was asked whether she had a message for Putin. She replied: "We are unstoppable.
"I really dream of a world where we don't have to talk about unnecessary things like sexuality, where you're from or who you love. This is not what it's all about."
She added: "I really felt like tonight, Europe showed that we are a unity full of respect and tolerance."

Faux-Christian Facist David And Jason Benham Demonstrate Their Hateful Anti-gay Agenda

The brothers told CNN's Erin Burnett
that they do not personally hate gays or Muslims.
David insisted that he has never
“spoken against homosexuals as individuals,” adding that he and
his brother “love homosexuals and we love Muslims and have nothing
against” either.
“The point of this is there's an
agenda that is seeking to silence the voice of men and women of
faith,” he added. “That's what all this is about. I absolutely
think any sex outside marriage is not healthy for human flourishing.
I think it's very important we set the record straight. There's a
difference between people and agenda.”
The brothers stood by HGTV, saying they
felt the network “was bullied” into reversing course.
“All of this media firestorm … was
too much for them to bear and they had to make a decision,” David
said.
Interestingly enough, though they assert they *love* homosexuals, David Benham had this to say in 2012 in an interview with anti-gay activist Michael Brown:
"We have the tools, we have the stones, we have the weapons, we've been
faithful with the lion and bear stories, we’re charging at this Goliath
called abortion and when we take Goliath down, I promise you, all of the
church will start coming out of the caves. The homosexual agenda is
next, tolerance towards radical Islam is next, we’re going to start
taking these Goliaths down, we’re not afraid anymore...'Our struggle is
not against flesh and blood but against the principalities, rulers and
authorities of darkness.’ We love these people and so we are not going
to allow the demonic forces and agendas behind them to destroy life."
Judge Chris Piazza invalidates Arkansas's same-sex marriage ban
An appeal is expected. The judge did not stay his ruling, though the state probably can be expected to request a stay.
The order came after county clerks offices closed for the week. But they can expect a flood of applicants Monday morning. Pulaski County Clerk Larry Crane said he'd be ready with software to issue gender-neutral marriage licenses Monday morning
The lawsuit challenged both the state constitution and statutory bans. Piazza's 13-page ruling struck down both statute and constitutional ban. He noted that tradition wasn't sufficient to continue a bar to interracial marriage.
Piazza stated:
Due Process and Equal Protection are not hollow words without substance. They are rights enumerated in our constitution that must not be construed in such a way as to deny or disparage other rights retained by the people.
He also said "tradition alone cannot form a rational basis for a law."

Ted (Inbred) Cruz Craps Out His Mouth For Your Amusement
Texas Senator Ted Cruz said on Friday
that while he doesn't endorse discrimination, Christians should not
be forced to serve gays and lesbians.
Appearing at a Houston Baptist
University forum on faith, Cruz was asked whether Christian
photographers and bakers opposed to marriage equality should be
compelled to serve gays.
“Everyone has to reconcile their own
faith with how they interact with others, and that's a choice you've
got to make based on your understanding of biblical teachings and
based on the best understanding you can come to it,” answered
Cruz, a Republican.
“I'm very much a believer that the
scripture teaches that you hate the sin and love the sinner, and so,
you know, from my perspective I am perfectly willing to interact with
anybody,” he said. “Look, I work in the U.S. Congress. But at
the same time, I don’t think the law should be forcing Americans to
violate their religious faith.”
Twins David, Jason Benham 'Saddened' By HGTV's Decision To Cancel Show
Twin brothers David and Jason Benham on
Thursday issued a statement saying they are “saddened” by HGTV's
decision to cancel their upcoming reality show.
Flip It Forward, set to premiere

David Benham compared opposition to
marriage equality to efforts to defeat Nazi Germany and stated that
gay men need to find God. The brothers also staged a prayer rally in
Charlotte in part to protest the city's acceptance of marriage
equality.
In a statement, the brothers denied
they were anti-gay.
“The first and last thought on our
minds as we begin and end each day is; have we shined Christ's light
today? Our faith is the fundamental calling in our lives, and the
centerpiece of who we are. As Christians we are called to love our
fellow man. Anyone who suggests that we hate homosexuals or people
of other faiths is either misinformed or lying. Over the last
decade, we've sold thousands of homes with the guiding principle of
producing value and breathing life into each family that has crossed
our path, and we do not, nor will we ever discriminate against people
who do not share our views.”
“We were saddened to hear HGTV's
decision. With all of the grotesque things that can be seen and
heard on television today you would think there would be room for two
twin brothers who are faithful to our families, committed to biblical
principles, and dedicated professionals.”
“If our faith cost us a television
show, then so be it,” they
added.
Sorry guys, your faith didn't cost you a TV show, your bigotry did.
But don't take my word for it, here's what David said in 2012 at a prayer rally in North Carolina:
We don’t realize that, OK, if 87 percent of Americans are Christians and yet we have abortion on demand; we have no-fault divorce; we have pornography and perversion; we have homosexuality and its agenda that is attacking the nation; we have adultery; we have all of the things; we even have allowed demonic ideologies to take our universities and our public school systems while the church sits silent and just builds big churches.
