'He had all the moves!' Karaoke cop performs 'I Will Survive' in gay bar after dealing with a fight outside

A police officer called to a disturbance near a gay bar in Glasgow gave patrons a surprise when he went inside and started singing karaoke.

The Police Scotland officer, known only as 'Sergeant John', and three colleagues had been called to deal with an incident outside the Waterloo Bar in central Glasgow on Wednesday evening.

After interviewing witnesses, he took to the stage and belted out Gloria Gaynor's I Will Survive to loud applause.

Police had been called to the scene following reports of an affray between a man and a woman.

Announcing 'I will sing', the officer gave a spirited rendition of the classic, complete with animated dance moves, as drinkers filmed the action on their phones.

At the end of his performance he took a bow and received a standing ovation before returning to duty.

Over 200,000 Attend Tel Aviv Pride 2016

Some 200,000 people attended Friday's annual Tel Aviv LGBT Pride parade.

According to the Jerusalem Post, the march, which stepped off from Tel Aviv's Gan Meir park at noon, is the largest such parade in the Middle East.

Ron Huldai, mayor of Tel Aviv-Yafo municipality, praised this week's LGBT events.

“The Pride Parade has turned into one of the symbols of the City of Tel Aviv with hundreds of thousands of participants and tourists from all over the country and world,” he is quoted as saying.

“I believe that Tel Aviv-Yafo, a city of tolerance, is a beacon to other cities [on] this issue,” Huldai added.

A poll conducted ahead of Friday's Tel Aviv LGBT Pride parade found support for marriage equality in Israel at an all-time high. Seventy-six percent of the Jewish Israeli public supports recognizing gay and lesbian couples with some form of marriage, a 12 percent increase since September.

Kremlin: "Condoms Spread HIV" (Just Like Syphilis Comes From Toilet Seats)

Condoms are being blamed for the spread of HIV in Russia, according to a Kremlin-backed group, and the only way to protect yourself is to be in a ‘heterosexual family’.
The Russian Institute for Strategic Studies (RISS) made the bizarre claims at the Moscow City Duma Commission on Public Health.
‘The contraceptive industry is interested in selling their products and encouraging under-aged people to engage in sex,’ said study co-author Igor Beloborodov.
But the best way to prevent HIV spreading is to be ‘in a heterosexual family where both partners are loyal to each other’.
The Kremlin so-called experts said the Western model of fighting HIV and AIDS, which targets ‘drug addicts and LGBT people’ would not work in Russia due to the ‘cultural, historical and psychological characteristics of the population’.
So instead of focusing safe sex practices for all people, they claim it is best that all gay people just get married to someone of the opposite gender and have sex with them.
This isn’t the view of all Russians on sexual health.
Vadim Pokrovsky, the head of the Federal Center for Fighting AIDS, has repeatedly stressed the need to focus on condoms otherwise the spread of HIV will only increase.
He has said 930,000 Russians now have HIV, up from 500,000 in 2010. In 2015 alone, around 100,000 new cases of HIV in Russia were reported.
‘The last five years of the conservative approach have led to the doubling of the number of HIV-infected people,’ Pokrovsky said.

Arizona Representative Trent Franks last week lied out his bigoted ass making the claim that gay and lesbian couples don't make good parents.

Appearing on the Family Research Council's (FRC) Washington Watch radio program, the Republican lawmaker linked marriage equality to the recent House fight over efforts to approve LGBT nondiscrimination rules for federal contractors.

Franks then falsely claimed that “all of the research shows” that children raised by heterosexual couples perform better “on every measurable metric” than kids raised by gay couples.

“There is no doubt whatsoever that whether it's caused by divorce or lack of marriage or same-sex marriage, whatever it is, whenever a child is not in a mother-father family, traditional family, they have some odds stacked against them in many areas,” Franks said.

Most researchers agree that children raised by gay parents are at no disadvantage. And there is some research to suggest that the children of same-sex couples fare better in certain areas.

Franks, a vocal opponent of LGBT rights, also told FRC President Tony Perkins that liberals “can't have a reasoned discussion because most of their positions simply collapse under the weight of reason.”

And they’ve started the birthday campaign with an online-exclusive spot Germany’s leading tabloid BILD, who revealed the clip earlier today (1 June), dubbed ‘taboo breaking’.
It follows a young man who, in turn, follows his favorite soccer team around.
He cheers as they score, empathizes when his favorite player is fouled and in his flat, there’s a picture of him with his idol. So far, so usual.
But there’s a twist to the 100-second-story.
As it turns out, they’re not just player and fan, but boyfriends; as the athlete picks up his partner at the train station, they hug before wandering down the platform, hand in hand.
‘For the ICE’s 25th birthday, we want to show how it connects more than train stations and cities,’ Bertold Huber, chairperson for Deutsche Bahn’s traffic and transport committe, said in a statement.
‘The spot points the way to diversity and open-mindedness. That’s what our customers and employees stand for.’
The idea behind the spot comes from advertising agency BBDO, who also produced the clip on behalf of DB and described it as an ‘cineastic loveletter’.

A gay couple in Colombia who were kissing in public as part of a filming were stopped by the police and allegedly threatened with detainment.
The filming was actually for gay dating app Jack’d’s ‘We Need More Kisses‘ campaign which aims to tackle homophobia in Latin American societies.
The campaign team was filming a promo video on the streets of Medellin, Colombia, when a pair of police officers suddenly entered the scene and tried to pull the kissing gay couple apart, not knowing that a camera was rolling.
Jack’d has shared a video of what happened on their Twitter.
The video reads: ‘The police didn’t know that we were recording the couple—all they saw were two men kissing. They separated them with the intention of detaining them and it was only when our producer intervened that they backed off.’
It concludes with, ‘In order for this to not happen to others, we need more kisses, we need your kisses.’
Earlier in April, the Colombian government legalized same-sex marriage, thus becoming the fifth nation to do so in Latin America.
However, it seems that there is still much work to be done to combat homophobia and fight for tolerance and acceptance in the Catholic nation.
The ‘We Need More Kisses’ campaign encourages Latin American LGBT couples to record their public acts of affection for submission.
