A day after
being fired by Nike for anti-gay remarks, boxer Manny Pacquiao posted a
Bible verse on social media which orders that gay people be put to
death.
According to multiple news sources, the
post quoted Leviticus 20:13, which says: ‘If a man has sexual relations
with a man as one does with a woman, both of them have done what is
detestable. They are to be put to death; their blood will be on their
own heads.’
It was deleted from Pacquiao’s Instagram account but at that point had already received more than 18,000 likes.
The Filipino boxer, pastor and national hero is running for a seat in
the senate caused a firestorm after he was asked about his stance on
gay marriage in an interview with Bilang Pilipino on Monday (15
February).
‘It’s only common sense. Would you see any species of animals who
engage in male to male, female to female [sexual] relations? Animals,
then, are better than humans [in that sense]. They know how to
distinguish males from females,’ he said.
‘If people then engage in male to male, female to female relations, then they are worse than animals.’
Nike called Pacquiao’s comments ‘abhorrent’ and severed its relationship with him.

Penguins engage in same sex relationships, mating for life just like their heterosexual counterparts and they are often gifted with eggs of their own to hatch and raise. So yes, animals do have 'those kind of relations' and in the end maybe they are better than us. At least they aren't killing each other for it.
Precisely, ten percent of all Rams bond with same sex partners as well.
