Two men face misdemeanor assault
charges over allegedly attacking two street preachers during a Gay
Pride festival in Seattle.
Jason Queree, 36, and a second
unidentified man were arrested by police during Sunday's Pridefest,
KOMO
News reported.
A man who prefers to remain anonymous
captured the melee on video.
In the video, the protesters, one
wearing a “Trust Jesus” t-shirt and carrying a Bible and the
other holding a “Repent or Else” sign on a tall pole, are
confronted by an angry crowd of people.
“If I were you, I would fucking
leave,” a girl screams at the man with the sign. “If I were you,
I would leave.”
The girl warns the protester that his
friend is about to “get his ass raped” as the protester in the
“Trust Jesus” t-shirt is seen being shoved in the background.
The incident escalates a few moments
later when another man attacks the protester for his sign pole,
pulling him to the ground. In the scuffle, Queree punches the
protester, and the second man kicks him as other people pile on.
Some in the surrounding crowd can be heard trying to stop the fight.
Conservatives reacted to the incident
by saying that the men arrested should face additional charges and
pointed to Queree's 29 run-ins with the law.
The reason I'm posting this video is because it's now making it's rounds as *THE* perfect example of the intolerance of the gay community toward peaceful Christians.
Anyone watching this video can clearly see, that the perpetrators and instigators of the violence, were indeed a male/female couple, the male having a long history of arrest for violence.
It's also interesting too note, that though 2 young men do rush the guy holding the sign, all they do is run off with it.
But what one can also clearly see, is people from the crowd putting themselves at risk to help the two men.
Watch carefully and you can even see some young women carry the sign post and hand them back to the street preachers.
Also take special note of the arrest of the heavy man, he keeps telling his woman (the one who was getting in the street preachers faces and threatening them with gay rape) to shut up.
It's also interesting to note how the Seattle cop's pull a couple of liquor bottles out of the woman's baby carriage.
