The Holy Quran Experiment

Islam has been under huge scrutiny lately and is often criticized for being an aggressive religion... but what about Christianity?
In this video two guys from the Netherlands disguised a Bible as a Quran and read some of it's most gruesome verses to the people. This is what they had to say.

from Wiki re "eye for an eye":
Since there is no form of punishment in the Torah that calls for the maiming of an offender, there is no case where a conspiratorial false witness could possibly be punished by the court injuring to his eye, tooth, hand, or foot. There is one case where the Torah states "…and you shall cut off her hand…" The sages of the Talmud understood the literal meaning of this verse as referring to a case where the woman is attacking a man in potentially lethal manner. This verse teaches that, although one must intervene to save the victim, one may not kill a lethal attacker if it is possible to neutralize that attacker through non-lethal injury. Regardless, there is no verse that even appears to mandate injury to the eye, tooth, or foot.

Numbers 35:9–30 discusses the only form of remotely reciprocal justice not carried out directly by the court, where, under very limited circumstances, someone found guilty of negligent manslaughter may be killed by a relative of the deceased who takes on the role of "redeemer of blood". In such cases, the court requires the guilty party to flee to a designated city of refuge. While the guilty party is there, the "redeemer of blood" may not kill him. If, however, the guilty party illegally forgoes his exile, the "redeemer of blood", as an accessory of the court, may kill the guilty party. Nevertheless, the provision of the "redeemer of blood" does not serve as true reciprocal justice, because the redeemer only acts to penalize a negligent killer who forgoes his exile. Furthermore, intentional killing does not parallel negligent killing and thus cannot serve directly as a reciprocal punishment for manslaughter, but as a penalty for escaping punishment. According to traditional Jewish Law, application of these laws requires the presence and maintenance of the biblical designated cities of refuge, as well as a conviction in an eligible court of 23 judges as delineated by the Torah and Talmud. The latter condition is also applicable for any capital punishment. These circumstances have not existed for approximately 2,000 years.

The difference IS: The Bible (oral stories originally –some myths maybe 10,000 years old!) was written down over a period of a 1000 years & represents "religious" thoughts as they gradually evolved from an "eye for an eye" (from way pre-Biblical non-Jewish Hammurabi, who in turn first took a survey of the existing laws of his many subject people to compile his code -look him up please, this is NOT a simple matter!), & ending with "You have heard that it was said, 'AN EYE FOR AN EYE, AND A TOOTH FOR A TOOTH.' "But I say to you, do not resist an evil person; but whoever slaps you on your right cheek, turn the other to him also.” Later his disciples ask him how many times one should turn the other cheek, Jesus says ’70 x 7’ (= 490 times! Do you know more than one handful out of 1000 “Christians” who’d submit to 490 slaps before losing it! And punching you back as hard as they could? Growing up -& also now, I don’t!)
Modern Jews, for example (& I’ve now known 1000s of Jews since growing up in an predominantly Irish/Jewish section of Philly & living in other parts of the U.S) certainly 99% of them DON'T believe in killing gays. MODERN Muslims DO! I’m gay & the Jews I’ve known have been disproportionally supportive of me & my partner of 43+ years. (BTW, I don’t know why any Jew would believe in a God who’d allow them to be slaughtered so often –esp in WWII.) Those Jews I’ve known have also been disproportionally atheists or at least agnostics. That’s bcs they have been allowed to think –use their ‘God-given’ brains! (a joke there, in case you missed it!) Whereas the Muslims are NOT allowed to think for themselves. As any number of horrified Muslim writers have noted in their books on why they CAN’T be Muslims anymore!
There’s so much more to say. But I have a pressing appt, so -so long for now.

Despite your assertions, the Torah has a plethora of reasons that God supposedly calls for the execution of people.
Just because modern Jews don't adhere to these scriptures doesn't mean the book doesn't call for the barbaric treatment of others.
